Hi all! Life has been a bit crazy lately, but I don’t need to tell you that right? I’m always amazed at how fast the months fly by and June is no exception. I looked at our calendar today….I’m old school and still use a wall calendar (sleeping cats pictured)…..and noticed that every day this month we have something to do. While I know summers are busy, I still try to find times to incorporate some self care time. I think it is so important to carve out some time just for myself, and be able to relax. I’m an introvert, and while I am not shy and like to be around people, I still need some time between events to process my thoughts and recharge.
On Thursday, I went with my husband and his family to the Indiana University Foundation Partners in Philanthropy Awards Dinner. His family was awarded the Family Legacy Award. It was so inspiring to see their dedication as a family to the university. I wore this floral dress.
This past weekend my husband and I had our friends from college and friends from home out to our cabin at the lake. It was a blast spending time with everyone and being able to have the weekend to catch up with those who live far away.
On Sunday, I went to my cousins birthday party and had an absolute blast. We went to The Escape Room Indianapolis and chose the Bank Heist room. Although we were not successful bank robbers…maybe this is a good thing…we all had so much fun searching for clues. I would highly recommend going to The Escape Room if you have a group of people and want to try something different. Each room has a different level…we attempted the advanced room. I would recommend trying the introductory or intermediate levels if no one has participated in one of these before! Finally, we ate dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. It is such a beautiful restaurant.
Don’t forget, Father’s Day is this weekend! You can check out some ideas from my gift guide, here. Have a wonderful day!
